The Water Shop Ceramic Single Undersink features the Doulton Ultracarb® filter, made in the UK.

The Doulton Ultracarb® filter has a unique 3 phase filtration process.

1. First, the outer shell mechanically filters out harmful bacteria and parasites. Manufactured with Doulton Sterasyl® ceramic which provides genuine sub-micron filtration. This stage reduces fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity. Silver, incorporated within this ceramic structure provides enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilising, antibacterial properties.
2. Second, an inner core of activated carbon block removes chlorine and organic compounds. The Doulton Ultracarb® cartridge features premium carbon made from the highest quality NSF certified (ANSI 61) coconut shell based granular activated carbon and other proprietary adsorbent medias. The elements of this cartridge have been tested in accordance with NSF Protocols for cyst, turbidity, particulates, lead and chlorine reduction.
3. Third, the Ion exchange resin reduces lead and other heavy metals.

Especially practical is that the Doulton Ultracarb® filter cartridge can be washed and re-used! Simply scrub clean under cold running water with a new Scotch Brite® pad or brush to prolong filter life.
